Teddi and Lily

Teddi gets first billing because when we go for walks she HAS to be the lead dog. Every time. Lily likes following close behind sometimes just inches off Teddi's ass. It does make life interesting for Lily. Teddi is not one of those dogs who gives you notice when she is going to take a shit. She will be walking along seeming to pay attention to nothing. No sniffing, no slowing down, no spinning around, just a sudden squat and the back door is open. So quickly at times Lily has to back out of the way. The move has been a big adjustment for both of them. Lily no longer sleeps with us. She and Teddi have kennels in the laundry room. When it is bed time they both cooperatively walk in and lay down. They seem to like the quiet. We have been sleeping better because Lily was always trying to rearrange the bed to better suit her needs. I took some pictures of them a couple of nights ago. They were laying in the living room having a short pre-bedtime nap. It had been a tough day and they were worn out.

 

The first picture Lily and Teddi are both sleeping away. The room was a bit dark and these were taken with my iPad.

 Miss Lily heard the telltale click and turned to look to see what was happening. Teddi did not react.

 I took another picture and Teddi turned to look so I took this one. Guard dogs? I think not.

Lily is laying on the rug and Teddi has found a spot on the hardwood floor. I felt bad because they didn't have a soft place to lay down. We had to go find them so dog beds for the living room floor.

This is Miss Lily all comfy in her new bed. She has her bone with her to keep it away from that evil bitch Teddi. That's not true about Teddi but Lily is possessive about her toys. Teddi has a smaller bed but she refuses to use it. She prefers the hardwood. There's a smart ass comment waiting to be said but I'm going to leave it alone.
