Lily was finally quiet after spending most of the morning going from door to door whining to get outside. She wants out first thing in the morning to dig and we prefer to wait until the dew is off. Creates less mud on her paws when she wants to come in later. She had settled into my recliner and was just relaxing looking out the back door. Then the barking started. It was not her normal I want out bark. This was there is a critter in the back yard bark. We looked out to see this.
A bit closer view.
Teddi was clueless about why Lily was barking so she ran back and forth from Lily to the door wanting to go out but never looking outside.
It wasn't long before another deer joined the journey into the open.
The barking continued and the deer moved back closer to where they had entered the yard.
A glance over the shoulder to see if everything is still safe.
A quick last couple of bites of grass.
Back into the safety of the woods and cover.
Lily the fierce and fearless (at least while she is on this side of the door) barking to get the trespassing deer out of the yard.
