Furniture

Today was our second delivery of furniture. When the delivery is scheduled 3 weeks before the date you have no idea what the weather will be. Our delivery driver Jamie had been here for our first de livery. His assistant today was Dominique. We were scheduled between 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning. The truck delivering to the store was late so they didn't start deliveries until 11:30. We were eighth on the list and they arrived here at 2:45. There was no point complaining to them because it was out of their control. Last time they were here they had delivered a full sized sofa with a hide a bed. If you have never moved one just know they are heavy. The one they delivered last time got a tear in it coming in. They had to take it back out and bring in a new one. It won't fit in the door with the base on so it has to be taken off and put back on. To add insult to injury it was raining throughout the delivery. Mother Nature being a heartless bitch decided that part way up the outside steps she would open the sky and it would pour. The couch was wrapped in plastic which meant it stayed dry but was hard to hold and slick. Jamie and Dominique worked like troopers and did a great job. I think they were a bit surprised that I was willing to jump in and help. They were running way behind and our delivery was slowed by rain and not helping them get done and caught up. I will post pictures in a day or two. Right now the laptop is not set up in the office and it is too hard to post pictures on the iPad.
